Steven E. Parmelee
President
Mr.
Parmelee has spent his entire career in the retirement business and has
accumulated a wealth of experience in the sales, marketing, and servicing
of qualified plans. Since 1975, he has seen the qualified plan market
develop from both an insurance and a banking perspective, and he formed
Westport Benefits Group when he identified a need for high quality retirement
programs centered on prudent fiduciary practices.
Mr. Parmelee is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, and holds an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Auditor (AIFA) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Westport/Weston Chamber of Commerce, the Worldwide Employee Benefits Network (WEB), Society For Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut (HRACC).
He speaks frequently on fiduciary issues, and teaches the subject to accountants for Continuing Professional Education classes.
